Who we are

Quintrell Locals is the membership scheme of The Quintrell Inn at Quintrell Downs, near Newquay, Cornwall. The pub runs the scheme itself and is responsible for the details you share with us.

What we collect

When you sign up for the Locals Card, we ask for your name, phone number and email address through the sign-up form on this site.

We ask you to bring some ID when you collect your card behind the bar. This is only to confirm who you are — we do not take a copy or keep a record of it.

How we use your details

We use your details to run your membership: to confirm you are in by text, to have your card ready for you behind the bar, and to let you know about offers, events and what is on at the pub.

We only send you marketing messages if you have ticked the box agreeing to receive them.

Marketing and how to stop it

Members hear from us by text and email using the details they share when signing up.

If you ever want to stop hearing from us, one click does it — every message we send includes a way to opt out, or you can simply say the word at the bar. You can also reply STOP to any text.

Who else sees your details

We do not sell your details to anyone.

Our sign-up form and member messages are handled by a service provider that processes your details on our instructions, solely so the scheme can run. Your details are not used by anyone for their own purposes.

How long we keep your details

We keep your details for as long as you are a member. If you leave the scheme, we stop contacting you and remove your details from our membership list.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how your details have been handled.
