Who we are
Quintrell Locals is the membership scheme of The Quintrell Inn at Quintrell Downs, near Newquay, Cornwall. The pub runs the scheme itself and is responsible for the details you share with us.
What we collect
When you sign up for the Locals Card, we ask for your name, phone number, email address, home address and postcode through the sign-up form on this site.
When you get in touch through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number and the message you send us.
Why we collect it
We use the details from the sign-up form to operate the Quintrell Locals Card membership scheme: to verify that you are eligible to join, to prepare your card, and to send you card and service messages by text and email.
We use the details from the contact form only to respond to your enquiry.
Legal basis
Where we send you marketing communications — news of offers, events and what is on at the pub — we do so on the basis of your consent, which you give when you sign up and which you can withdraw at any time.
Where we process your details to run the membership scheme itself — checking eligibility, issuing your card and sending you messages about the service — we do so on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the scheme and to perform the membership arrangement between us.
How long we keep your details
We keep your details for as long as you remain an active member of the scheme. If you stop engaging with us, we keep your details for a reasonable period after your last activity and then remove them from our membership records.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the details we hold about you, to have them corrected if they are wrong, and to have them deleted. You may also withdraw your consent and opt out of marketing at any time — reply STOP to any text message, or use the unsubscribe link included in every email we send.
How to make a request or complaint
To make any of these requests, or if you have a concern about how your details are handled, please get in touch through the contact page on this site.
If your concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), the UK’s data protection regulator.
Who processes your details
Your details are processed by a membership management and messaging system provider under a data processing arrangement, acting only on our instructions so that the scheme can run. Your details are not sold, and they are not shared with any other third party.
The Quintrell Locals Card scheme is operated using data processing services provided by OakNest Media Ltd (company number 16725384), registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number ZC069485.
